Easy garlic cabbage steaks

 

I’ve yet to find someone who doesn’t love these. They might even top garlic bread. I love to make these along with garlic thyme roasted carrots as quick and easy pop-in-the-oven veggies.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Makes: 6 servings

Allergens: none (low FODMAP, AIP-friendly)

Ingredients:

1 cabbage, red or green

1/2 cup olive oil

1 1/2 Tbsp Garlic powder

2 Tbsp dried oregano

Sea salt

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375° Prep two large baking sheets with chlorine-free parchment paper.
  • Cut the cabbage into ¾-1 inch thick slices and lay them flat on the parchment paper.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the cabbage slices and use a rubber spatula or oil brush to spread the olive oil over the entire surface.
  • Sprinkle sea salt, oregano, and garlic powder generously over all of the cabbage
  • Bake at for about 25-30 minutes or until crispy.
